Mohammad Mesgarpour did his undergraduate study at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) and received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering - Systems Analysis and Planning. While pursuing a B.Sc. degree, he worked in Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Iran Khodro Industrial Group and MASAF (Industrial Journal of Industrial and Systems Engineering) .
 
In Fall 2004, he joined Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus for graduate studies. In 2006, he received his M.Sc. in Information Systems. In 2008, he completed his second Master of Science in Industrial Engineering at the same university. During his Master programs, he was working as a teaching assistant in the Department of Industrial Engineering.
 
He moved to England to continue his study in Operational Research at the University of Southampton. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics-Operational Research in March 2012. His Ph.D. research study was on Airport Runway Optimization. He was working as a teaching assistant during his Ph.D. study in the School of Mathematics.
 
He worked as a KTP Research Associate at the University of Nottingham and Microlise Ltd. for two years. He is currently a Technical Research Analyst at the Microlise Ltd.
 
His area of interest is in field of Scheduling, Data Mining and Analytics, Combinatorial Optimization, Transportation, Air Traffic Management, Heuristics, Mathematical Programming, Operations Management and Information Systems.
