Because of the broad range of research interests of the faculty, there are numerous opportunities for students to do special project or research in most of the industrial engineering areas. Faculty publications over the past few years have been in the areas of ergonomics, flexible manufacturing systems, fuzzy logic and its applications, linear/convex feasibility and optimization, machine scheduling, productivity measurement, pull-push production systems, queuing models, finance, and technology forecasting.
